Mauve Skies is a possible hybridof Westringia fruticosa and an unnamed species from Wild River in NSW. It is a naturally small to medium compact shrub with rich green foliage; it displays a profusion of flowers from late summer to early spring. Throughout the rest of the year the shrub is covered with a light sprinkle of flowers. Mauve Skies is excellent for use as a garden border, rockery plant, specimen pot plant or for medium planting in gardens to large scale landscapes. Mauve Skies can be mix planted with Westringia Aussie Box, Westringia Blue Gem, Westringia Double Wonder, Westringia Edna Walling, Westringia Gippsland Gold, Westringia Glabra Cadabra, Westringia Grey Box, Westringia Jervis Gem, Westringia Lavender Breeze, Westringia Lilac Ruffles, Westringia Little Westie, Westringia Morninglight, Westringia Mundi, Westringia Naringa, Westringia Smokey, Westringia Smokescreen Mauve, Westringia Violet Skies, Westringia Wynabbie Gem, and Westringia Zena. |

| Soil PH Conditions | Soil pH: 6.4 to 7.5 - Soil preparation: Soil can range from quite acid to alkaline in pH levels, it is important to have good soil preparation to gain the best results when planting natives. | Water Recommendations | Grows well in both shade and full sun. It is adaptable to most well drained soils and is a versatile plant. Once this plant is established it will tolerate dry and light frost conditions, but over long periods of dry will require watering. |
| Fertiliser Recommendations | This plant requires little maintenance and it is best to initially feed with a slow release low phosphorus fertiliser to help first establish the plant. It is beneficial to follow up with the occasional reapplication of fertiliser and apply as required. Mulching around the base of the plant will help retain moisture and suppress weeds. |
